Zambia Medical Association Mourns the Passing of Dr. Mbulo Bwalya They wrote:
It is with deep sorrow that the Zambia Medical Association Executive announces the passing of Dr. Mbulo Bwalya, who died on 21st September, 2025.
Dr. Bwalya was born on 10th March, 1990, She attended her Grade 1- 6 at Kansenshi Primary School in Ndola and transferred to Kabale Basic School in Mpika between 1996- 2001.
She gained admission to pursue her Secondary Education at Lwitikila Girls Secondary School from 2002 – 2006. Dr. Bwalya enrolled at the Lusaka Apex Medical University from 2010- 2018 for her BscHB and MBChB respectively. As a young vibrant Medical Doctor, she was deployed into Public Service as a Junior Resident Medical Officer (JRMO) on 25th March, 2019.
She proceeded to pursue her Masters in Public Health from the University of Lusaka (UNILUS) from 2021- 2022. In addition, she served as ECHO Facilitator for Registrar’s Academic Activities- University of Zambia, Outbreak Case Management Clinician IN LC- OPTIMIZE & REVITALIZE trial, Covid- 19, Cholera and Mpox.
Dr. Bwalya served as Registrar- Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases from 2020 until the time of her demise.
Dr. Bwalya Mbulo’s funeral is being held at House No. 21 Asparagus Street Salama Park, Lusaka.
The Association will conduct a professional service in honor of the Late Dr. Mbulo Bwalya which will be held tomorrow Thursday 25th September, 2025 at Levy Mwanawasa University Teaching Hospital Main Conference Hall.
All Doctors are expected to be in white coats and seated by 07:30hrs.Attached is a picture of Dr. Bwalya. May the Soul of our Departed Colleague Rest in Peace.
