A tipper truck carrying approximately 50 tonnes of quarry material collided with a Toyota Hilux near the Zambia National Service (ZNS) facility in Chisamba on Friday.

No fatalities have been reported so far. Police officers have since arrived at the scene, and an official statement is expected to be released.

The Toyota Hilux, reportedly belonging to a Chinese-owned company, was being driven by a Chinese national at the time of the incident.

Witnesses said the tipper truck driver appeared to be in shock following the crash and was unable to provide details to officers on the ground.

Authorities are yet to disclose the cause of the accident and the extent of the damage to the two vehicles.
