TWO truck drivers and a passenger have been burnt to death in an accident that happened near Nyenyenzi in Masaiti District, Copperbelt.
The mishap, which involved two trucks, happened on Tuesday around 19:00 hours on Kabwe Road near Nyenyenzi.
Copperbelt police commanding officer Pethias Siandenge said the first car was a truck and trailer driven by an unknown driver of unknown address and age, who was burnt to ashes.
Mr Siandenge said another person on board the same truck was also burnt to ashes.
He said the second vehicle was also a truck with a trailer.
Mr Siandenge said the second truck was driven by an unknown driver of unknown address and age, who was also burnt to ashes after the vehicle caught fire following the collision.
“The accident happened when the first motor vehicle, which was being driven along the said road from south to north, was hit head-on by the second motor vehicle, which failed to keep to its near side,” he said.
