Kulima Tower bus driver Mr. Jimmy Mweene, who operates on the Chipata–Mandevu route in Lusaka, has become an inspiration in Zambia’s transport sector for sponsoring his wife’s education until she completed university. His decision reflects strong family values and a belief that empowerment begins at home. Mr. Mweene has encouraged other bus drivers to support their families in any way they can, saying such efforts bring blessings and help build stronger households.

Mr. Mweene attributes his success and ability to empower his wife to the peace and stability that prevail across Zambia’s bus stations and the nation at large. He extends gratitude to the country’s leadership for fostering an environment where progress thrives, and he particularly commends Mr. Nicolas Banda, popularly known as “Father”, Chairman of Kulima Tower Bus Station, for promoting a spirit of generosity among drivers. Under this leadership, acts of kindness have become part of the station’s culture.

Mr. Mweene’s story stands as a powerful reminder that peace, good leadership, and compassion can drive real transformation, turning everyday workers into champions of empowerment and community growth.
