Lusaka 4th October 2025,
2026 Presidential aspirant Mr Willah Joseph Mudolo has pledged to involve the youth in decision-making and national governance. He says the youth current constitute more than 70% of the population and be accorded the voice they rightfully deserve in matters of governance and national development.
Mudolo believes the youth have a myriad of solutions and innovations to transform Zambia and set it on a developmental trajectory that will create prosperity for all. With thousands of youths annually graduating from tertiary institutions but not being absorbed into mainstream employment, Mudolo is resolved to create opportunities for this youth population that will result in not only them being employed by enhanced entrepreneurship and business ownership.
Leveraging Zambia`s natural resources, there’s need to harness youth energy, skills and ideas, and then provide them with access to mentorship, affordable finance and markets. The transformative agenda is broad and will cater to youths in mining, agriculture, education, health, vocational skills, entrepreneurship as well as transportation.
Mudolo strongly espouses that it`s time to take Zambia out of poverty and the current generation of youths is key in achieving the goal. He believes that modern day politics and governance demand full participation of fresh minds with ideas that are relevant to the Technology age. This will place Zambia ahead of other nations on the African continent in terms of transforming governance, economic transformation as well as steering youth inclusivity and participation in national development.
