SMTS ZAMBIA LAUNCHES FIRST AID AND FIRE SAFETY CAMPAIGN FOR SCHOOLSLusaka, Zambia — 9th October, 2025
Safety Management Training Services (SMTS), Zambia’s leading provider of occupational health and safety services, has launched a first aid and fire safety campaign targeting primary and secondary schools.
The initiative aims to equip learners with essential safety skills and knowledge, fostering responsible citizens from an early age. SMTS believes that integrating safety education with traditional learning helps create safer communities and reduces risks both in and outside school environments.
The flagship session at Great North Road Academy will be extended to eight additional schools in Lusaka, as part of a nationwide effort. This campaign has been approved by the Ministry of Education, allowing SMTS Zambia to conduct free training in all schools nationwide.
Training will be delivered in phases to align with school schedules and ensure minimal disruption to lessons.
At SMTS Zambia, our mission is to reduce accidents across workplaces and home environments by promoting knowledge and awareness of occupational health and safety. By educating students early, we empower them to grow into safety-conscious adults who will positively impact communities nationwide.
SMTS extends gratitude to both the Ministry of Education and Great North Road Academy for providing the platform to instil vital safety knowledge in learners.
