A 19-YEAR-OLD pupil of Monze District has been brutally murdeéed allegedly by her 21-year-old boyfriend, who later consumed a p0isonous substance to end his lífe but was resuscitated at the hospital.
Nchimunya Makala, of Njola Mwanza, a learner at Mwanza Day Secondary School, sustained four deep cuts on the head and lower jaw.

Southern Province police commanding officer Auxensio Daka said the incident happened on Sunday, with the suspect identified as Charles Bbole.
“On the material date around 07:00 hours, Nchimunya was sent on an errand by her mother, Ms Jennifer Mweene. When the mother noticed that her daughter had delayed returning home, she tried to contact her by phone, but it was unreachable,” he said.
Mr Daka said later around 12:00 hours, the suspect’s uncle, Robert Hanzala, of the same village, saw his nephew, Bbole, running towards his house while shouting for help.
“Mr Hanzala decided to follow the direction his nephew had come from and found his house door wide-open, with someone crying for help from inside. Upon entering, he discovered Nchimunya lying on the floor with multiple cuts on the head,” Mr Daka said.
He said Mr Hanzala alerted members of the community and the father to the girl, who reported the matter to police.
