Ministry of Water Development and Sanitation (MWDS) inspected Nkana Water Supply and Sanitation Company’s (NWSC) Bulangililo Water Treatment Plant, which is currently undergoing expansion works.
During the visit, MWDS Minister Eng. Collins Nzovu expressed satisfaction with the progress made, noting that the project is on course and expected to be commissioned soon.
Reinforcing the Minister’s remarks, NWSC Managing Director, Dr. Steven Mwale said by December, any sections of the project that are completed and operational will be opened for public use to ensure that communities start benefiting as works progress.
The expansion aims to enhance water production and improve service delivery for residents in Kitwe and surrounding areas.
