Five years ago, we published a story about his active participation in the development of COVID 19 vaccine as part of the United States (US) team in Israel.
Dr Nkolola was yesterday honoured with the Order of The Eagle Third Division by President Hakainde Hichilema at State House during the investiture ceremony marking Zambia’s 61st independence.
About Dr Nkolola:
– He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Chemistry from UNZA in 1993.
– He obtained a Master’s degree in Molecular Biology from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel in Belgium in 1998.
– He obtained a PhD in Immunology and a three year post doctoral fellowship at the Harvard School of Public Health in Boston, USA.
– He joined Harvard’s teaching hospital, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Centre, where he is a senior staff scientist in the Centre for Virology and Vaccine Research.
– He has co-authored 64 scientific papers published in internationally recognised journals.
