A school principal from Magwagwaza secondary school in Acornhoek, Mpumalanga, who was suspended for allegedly having an affair with a learner from his school, has been found not guilty.
The department of education in Mpumalanga suspended him and launched investigations after Magwagwaza pupils protested, accusing the school principal of having affairs with learners.
It is alleged that the department found no evidence against the principal, who will report back to work on Monday the 27 of October 2025 after he proved his innocence.
It is believed that other teachers at his school were gunning for his position by influencing some learners to protest against the principal.
A Whatsapp conversation between the school principal and the learner were publicly shared on social media prior to his suspension.
