The Tanzanian government has directed all public servants in the country to work from home. Private employers have also been advised to allow their employees to work remotely. This comes after the government imposed a nighttime curfew in Dar es Salaam following election-related violence on Wednesday. A post shared on the Instagram account of Gerson Msigwa, secretary of the Ministry of Information, also urged all citizens to conduct their activities from home.
