Children with hearing impairments at Limulunga Primary School are being taught in a structure previously used as a school kitchen, sparking outrage among local residents who describe the conditions as inhumane especially amidst the current harsh weather conditions.

The community members have accused the School management of discriminating Children with special needs by allowing them to learn from such a structure while their peers have decent Classroom spaces.

Zambia Agency for Persons with Disability Assistant Provincial Coordinator Simona Mubiana has urged the School management to quickly address the issue and respect the rights of the affected Children.

Limulunga District Education Board Secretary Inonge Muhau declined to comment over the matter by press time.
