Zambia’s sports industry is rich with talent and opportunity, yet it remains largely untapped. The CF intends to change that.

Over 80 percent of Zambians are under the age of 35. The CF acknowledges this and aims to build on the National Sports Policy to take advantage of the country’s youth population. Sport is one of the most powerful ways to create jobs, build communities, and unite the nation.

For decades, many sports facilities in mining towns were built and supported by ZCCM. When the mines were privatised, it shifted important sports infrastructure into private hands, leaving many mining communities without the support systems that once kept young people active and engaged.

We will reactivate these sites and ensure that sports facilities across the country, many of which have been neglected for years, are modernised so that our local clubs, academies, and leagues can grow again.

To ensure this vision comes to pass, We will push for clear community-investment requirements from mining companies and private partners so that support for sport is no longer left to voluntary or vague CSR intentions. This will create real jobs, expand youth programmes, support health initiatives such as cancer and HIV/AIDS awareness, and grow a professional sports economy that everyone can benefit from.

Zambia has enormous sporting potential, we will turn that potential into opportunities for work, development, and national pride.
