Former Chawama Member of Parliament Tasila Lungu has taken a central role in the Patriotic Front’s renewed leadership structure after being appointed to the party’s Central Committee, marking one of the most strategic additions in the latest phase of the party’s reorganisation under Acting President Given Lubinda.

Her appointment is part of the PF’s ongoing effort to rebuild and fill key leadership gaps that have emerged in recent weeks. Tasila is among seven new members brought into the Central Committee, a move aimed at strengthening the party’s top decision-making organ as it prepares for major political engagements ahead.

Within the party, her return is viewed as a significant boost to the leadership team, particularly at a time when the PF is working to reposition itself and restore internal stability.

The reshuffle also saw Mwenya Matafwali appointed as Deputy National Chairman for Youths, alongside several other figures selected to support the party’s renewed organisational direction.

These changes follow the removal of several senior officials on 21st November 2025, as the party continues its internal reset and leadership shake-up.

Tasila’s appointment stands out as one of the most notable developments in the latest restructuring phase, underscoring her continued relevance within the PF’s political landscape.
