Chipolopolo coach Moses Sichone has welcomed the majority of foreign-based players called up for AFCON Morocco 2025, with only two yet to join camp. Italy-based Lameck Banda and Obino Chisala are expected to fly directly to Morocco, after which the technical bench will have a full squad to work with for the tournament.

Scotland-based midfielder Miguel Chaiwa is the latest foreign-based player to link up with the team in Murcia, Spain, bringing the total number of overseas players in camp to 13. His arrival has further strengthened the squad as preparations intensify ahead of the continental showpiece.

Players already training in Spain include Frankie Musonda, Fashion Sakala, Stopilla Sunzu, David Hamansenya, Kings Kangwa, Joseph Sabobo Banda, Jack Lahne Kalichi and Patson Daka, alongside local-based teammates. Others in camp are Joseph Liteta, Kennedy Musonda, Benson Sakala and Lubambo Musonda, giving Coach Sichone a strong base as Zambia steps up its AFCON preparations.
