A Seven-Year-Old girl has been allegedly defiled by her stepfather in Chief Kafwimbi in Isoka District of Muchinga Province.
Muchinga Province Police Commanding Officer Dennis Moola confirmed the incident, stating that occurred between 24 December 2025 at unknown time and 27 December 2025 around 16:00 hrs.
The brief facts are that the mother of the victim had left home on December 21, 2025, for an unknown village to look for some farm piecework and left her daughter at her aunt’s house.
On the following day around 19:00 hrs, the stepfather picked up the victim from her aunt’s house, where she was left by the mother, and went with her to his house, where he continued staying with the victim and sharing the same bed.
On December 24, the victim was sleeping in the house at an unknown time when her stepfather had carnal knowledge of her, and he threatened her not to tell anyone.
On the morning of December 25, the victim noticed some blood on her private part, but she did not inform anyone until the afternoon, when she visited her aunt, who noticed that the victim was having difficulties in walking.
The aunt later informed her neighbor and they both interviewed the victim, who revealed that her stepfather had carnal knowledge of her.
Mr Moola says eventually the matter was reported to the police.
He says a medical report form was issued, a docket of the case was opened, and no arrest has been made yet.
Mr. Moola says investigations are still ongoing.
