Three siblings who died in a suspected poisoning case have been laid to rest at a family graveyard in Likumbi area of Kabwe District, Central Province.
The deceased are a one year – two month old girl, a five year old boy, and an eight year old boy.
The burial followed a church service held at Kabanana Main Seventh Day Adventist – SDA – Church before the bodies were transported to Kabwe.
And uncle to the children, Regan Mthombeni, has confirmed to ZNBC News that the burials took place on Wednesday afternoon.
Mr Mthombeni has thanked the Church and members of the public for the support rendered to the family during this difficult time.
The children died on Sunday, January 4, after eating a meal of nshima, pumpkin leaves (chibwabwa), and sour milk together with three other family members.
The three other family members, including the parents of the children, survived after receiving medical treatment at the Hospital.
Meanwhile, Police Spokesperson GODFREY CHILABI says investigations into the Children’s deaths are ongoing.
