๐๐๐๐ฎ๐ธ๐ฎ, ๐ญ๐ฎ๐บ๐ฏ๐ถ๐ฎ, ๐ฌ๐ฒ ๐๐ฎ๐ป๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐, ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฒ – Yango Zambia, part of the global tech company Yango Group, treated Zambian football fans to a unique city-wide bus tour and AFCON watch party experience, rewarding winners of its recent social media competition with an immersive day of entertainment, music, and live football action in Lusaka. The activation brought together Yango superapp users, music, and football culture, culminating in an exclusive watch party where fans enjoyed the Zambia vs Morocco match together in a vibrant setting.
The experience kicked off with a double-decker bus tour across key parts of Lusaka, featuring a live DJ, interactive games, and special appearances, including award winning Zambian artist Yo Maps. During the tour, winners had the rare opportunity to interact with Yo Maps one-on-one, ask questions about his journey, and gain firsthand insights into his musical career before heading to the watch party venue for the live match experience.

โAt Yango, we believe meaningful engagement goes beyond simply moving people from one point to another. From food, packages and cargo delivery to navigator services among others, Yangoโs superapp serves thousands of Zambians daily. This activation was about creating moments our users will remember, from the excitement of the bus tour to the unique opportunity to interact directly with Yo Maps and learn from his journey in the music industry. By blending technology, mobility, entertainment, and inspiration, weโre showing our community that Yango is invested in creating experiences that celebrate local talent, reward loyalty, and bring people together around the things they love most.โ
One of the competition winners, ๐ ๐๐น๐ฒ๐ป๐ด๐ฎ ๐๐ต๐ถ๐ป๐ผ๐ป๐ฑ๐ผ ๐๐ต๐ถ๐น๐ฒ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐ฎ๐น๐๐ผ ๐ธ๐ป๐ผ๐๐ป ๐ฎ๐ ๐๐ผ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ต ๐ ๐๐น๐ฒ, described the experience as both exciting and inspiring.
โThis was such a fun experience. Getting the chance to ride on the bus, vibe with other fans, and interact personally with Yo Maps was something I never imagined. As a tennis coach Iโm constantly telling players to stay disciplined and consistent, and hearing him talk about his journey, challenges, and growth in music was really motivating. It made the whole day feel special, and itโs amazing to see Yango creating opportunities like this for ordinary users.โ
The activation forms part of Yango Zambiaโs broader efforts to create meaningful, locally relevant experiences for its evergrowing community. Through initiatives like this, Yango reinforces its position as a favourite technology platform among Zambians, connecting people and creating memorable moments for its community.
