A Four-year-old boy in Katete District of Eastern Province, has allegedly been defiled by a 13- year old girl.
Eastern Province Police Commissioner Robertson Mweemba stated that the incident occurred on 6th January, 2026 at around 17:00 hours.
Brief facts of the matter indicate that the victim and the suspect are neighbours. On 6th January, 2026, around 17:00 hours, the victim was playing with friends when the suspect picked him up and took him to her house.
A few minutes later, the boy’s mother heard him crying. When she went to check, she found him coming from the suspect’s house.
Mr. Mweemba says that when the mother asked why the boy was crying, the suspect did not respond. The mother then took the boy back home.
He added that while at home, the boy told his mother that the girl had injured his private parts.
Mr. Mweemba says upon checking, the mother noticed bruises on the child’s private parts. The boy was then taken to St. Francis Mission Hospital.
He says the victim sustained bruises on his private parts.
Mr. Mweemba says no arrests have been made yet.
