A 17-year-old boy from Kawega village in Isoka District is currently on the run after allegedly def!ling his 10-year-old niece.
And, Police have since launched a manhunt for Patwell Mutambo for the offence of Incest.
The minor was on several occasions molested by her uncle who had threatened to beat her if she were to disclose the ordeal.
Muchinga Province Deputy Police Commissioner, Ronald Zambo confirmed to Nakonde Radio FM News that the minor only narrated the development to her grandmother after she developed sores on her private parts.
Mr. Zambo explains that medical personelcomfirmed the victim had been def!led on several.
The police chief says the minor was taken advantage of during her holiday visit to her grandmother on 3rd September, 2023.
He adds that efforts to apprehend the suspect are underway.
