A human sk£leton has been discovered at a named farm in Lusaka’s New Kasama area.
According to Police Service Deputy Public Relations Officer Danny Mwale, the owner of the farm while patrolling his farm area, discovered a human sk£leton and immediately called his neighbours who, together after a thorough search, discovered a faded chitenge material tied to a tree about 30 meters away from the scene.
“Later, one of the neighbours identified the chitenge material to be that of her niece identified as Lydia Siachetema aged 13 who was reported missing on February 11, 2023 around 08:00 hours.” Mwele Explained.
According to Mwale, investigations revealed that the chitenge material matched with the description in the report recorded about the missing person on February 11, 2023.
Mwale says the remains of the deceased were taken to the University Teaching Hospitals mortuary awaiting postmortem.
Investigations to establish the actual cause of d£ath are ongoing.
