Home Affairs and Internal Security Minister Jack Mwiimbu has maintained that the government has no role to play in the internal wrangles within the opposition Patriotic Front-PF.
Addressing the media in Lusaka yesterday ,Mwiimbu emphasized that the government’s primary focus is on maintaining law and order, ensuring the safety and security of citizens, and upholding the principles of democracy.
Mwiimbu says he is aware of the speculations and accusations that the government may be involved in or influencing the internal disputes within the PF, but states that the government has no interest in meddling in the internal affairs of any political party.
He says the government will maintain neutrality and ensure that peace prevails in the country.
