A 20-year-old University of Zambia (UNZA) student, Chazi Simbuwa, was robbed on February 23 in Ngwerere, Lusaka, by two suspects using a suspected hired vehicle.
Police spokesperson Rae Hamoonga confirmed that the suspects, Charles Munyemba (26) and Innocent Phiri (21), stole a Techno Pop 7 phone worth K1,500 while the victim was waiting for her brother.
A motorist who witnessed the incident pursued and caught the suspects. Police later recovered and impounded their Silver Toyota Allion, which had fake registration plates.
