LUSAKA, ZAMBIA – Eden University has signed a landmark partnership with the Aga Khan Health Service of Tanzania to establish a state-of-the-art hospital, aiming to transform healthcare delivery, enhance medical expertise, and strengthen healthcare systems.
The collaboration will focus on capacity building, training, and an efficient referral system, creating valuable opportunities for students and faculty while improving access to specialized medical care for Zambians.
Eden University Vice Chancellor Dr. Alvert Ng’andu highlighted the transformative impact of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), which will introduce telemedicine, rotational student exchange programs, and digital health solutions to bridge gaps in patient care.
Aga Khan Health Service Head of Clinical Operations, Mr. Murtaza Mukhtar, emphasized the need to strengthen healthcare facilities in Africa, reducing reliance on overseas treatment by ensuring high-quality medical services are available locally.
