Ministry of Education Permanent Secretary for Technical Services, Kelvin Mambwe is impressed with the reduced levels of absenteeism among learners in the country.

Dr Mambwe says since the introduction of various education policies such as free education, absenteeism levels have drastically reduced.

He charged that it is gratifying to note that the education policies by the new dawn administration are proving to be effective.

“I wish to state that from the feedback around the districts in the country, absenteeism levels have reduced, most vulnerable children have returned to school and no learner is sitting on the floor as per Presidential directive,” he added.

And Chief Mpande of the Mambwe people of Senga Hill assured the Permanent Secretary of cooperating with the Government in its developmental agenda.
