Minister of Transport and Logistics Frank Tayali, has with immediate effective dissolved the Board of Directors at Zambia Airports Corporation Limited (ZACL).
In a statement issued to RCV News by Ministry Public Relations Officer Ndubi Mvula, Mr. Tayali said the dissolution is a key step in ensuring that the governance of ZACL is fully aligned with the government’s strategic objectives for the transport and logistics sector and in particular the aviation subsector.
“We are in a new era of transport infrastructure development, and it is imperative that all our institutions are guided by a board that can fully support and execute the government’s vision,” said Mr Tayali.
He has since expressed gratitude to the outgoing board members for their service and extended best wishes for their future endeavors.
Mr. Tayali also revealed that the process of appointing a new board is already underway, with new members expected to be announced soon.
