SIALUBALO COMMISSIONS SENIOR CHIEF NZAMENE’S PALACE
Minister of Local Government and Rural Development Gift Sialubalo has officially handed over a state -of-the- art palace for Senior Chief Nzamene of the Ngoni people in Chipata District of Eastern Province using the Constituency Development Fund (CDF).
Speaking during the handover ceremony of the newly constructed palace by the Zambia Correctional Service, Mr Sialubalo said under the directive of President Hakainde Hichilema, more palaces are yet to be constructed in the region.
He says the government recognises traditional leaders as critical players in the development process of the country including their unique wisdom in uniting people, resolving conflicts and guiding communities towards progress.
Mr Sialubalo said the palace is the first of its kind to be built in Chipata under the auspices of CDF adding that many more palaces will be built.”
As Government ,we recognise that when chiefs are given the dignity and resources they deserve, they are better positioned to serve their people, “he said.
