As the nation calls for stiffer penalties for defilers, a 14-year-old Grade 5 pupil in Kafwimbi’s Chiefdom in Isoka District of Muchinga Province, has allegedly been defiled again by a man, age not yet known.

The suspect and victim began an intimate relationship.

On 18 October 2025 around 0800 hours, the victim was left in the custody of her grandmother aged 60, and her mother went to the market for her usual business.

Around 14:00 hrs, the victim left her house and went to meet John at his house. Whilst outside the house chatting, the suspect further asked the victim if she had revealed his name to the police over a defilement case which she reported at the police.

When she responded having not mentioned his name, he quickly dragged her in the house and had canal knowledge of her until the two were found in the act by the suspect’s father.

The father informed the mother, who reported the matter to the police.

He says the victim complained of discomfort in her private parts and was issued with a police medical report.

Muchinga Province Police Commissioner Dennis Moola says this is the second time the victim has been defiled by two different people with the first case still being active in court.

He says a docket has been opened, investigations into the matter instituted, but no arrest has been made as the suspect is on the run.

Zambia Reports 19th October 2025.
