In Chingola, Naboonga Schools recently took time to honour someone who has quietly shaped the institution for 26 years, the Vice Principal, Madam Malambo Sameya.

Her journey with the school began more than two decades ago. From the beginning, she showed a strong work ethic, a calm personality, and a genuine love for helping both learners and staff. Over the years, she became the person everyone could rely on, the one who ensured that things ran smoothly even in difficult moments. Her consistency and professionalism helped Naboonga Schools grow into the respected institution it is today.

Because of her loyalty and the impact she has made, the school has always made it a point to appreciate her. When she completed 20 years of service, Naboonga Schools gifted her a home as a way of recognising her commitment. It was a clear message that her contribution mattered.

Last week, the Naboonga Schools family gathered once again. Led by Director Madam Franchesacar Mulenga Akashambatwa, they celebrated Madam Sameya’s 26 years of service. This time, the school surprised her with a car. It was a practical and meaningful gift meant to show gratitude for her years of hard work.

The moment was emotional for everyone who has seen how deeply she has invested in the school. For teachers, she has been a mentor. For learners, she has been a steady guide. For the school, she has been a pillar.

Madam Akashambatwa summed it up by saying: “For 26 years, she has served with heart, professionalism and unshakable commitment. Madam Sameya, thank you for your loyalty and hard work. You are a true pillar of Naboonga Schools.”

In a time when long-term dedication is rare, Madam Malambo Sameya stands out as an example of what it means to commit yourself to a cause and follow it through. Her story shows that service and loyalty still matter, and that they deserve to be celebrated.
