A joint team from the Defence Force, Zambia Police, and the Livingstone Fire Brigade has recovered the body of a male individual, presumed to be a tourist, at the Victoria Falls World Heritage Site.
The recovery operation, which began yesterday, continued into the evening due to the challenging terrain and powerful water currents.
After several hours of careful effort, the body was successfully brought to the surface and subsequently transported to Batoka Mortuary.
The Zambia Police have yet to release full details regarding the incident.
