LUSAKA, ZAMBIA — Zambian emerging artist Milo Deito has received public endorsement from two of the country’s most prominent musicians, Legendary Hiphop artist Macky 2 and King Illest, following the viral success of his track _Simambongolo_ from the EP _King From Choma.

Both Macky 2 and King Illest expressed support for Deito on social media and began following the artist on facebook and TikTok after a performance video from NASDEC in Lusaka circulated widely online. The recognition marks a notable milestone for the rising artist, who is currently on a national tour.

Deito announced the cancellation of all scheduled tour dates, interviews, and public appearances for seven days. The decision follows the deaths of more than 15 people in his hometown of Choma after consuming illegally brewed alc0h0l.

Fans and industry observers have praised Deito’s decision, with many noting that the gesture reflects a growing sense of social responsibility among young Zambian artists.

“The future is bright. Keep winning, young king. Zambia is proud of you,” supporters wrote online as Choma mourns.
