ZamStats implore citizens to provide accurate information to the officers

As 45,000 enumerators and supervisors get into the field today to gather data for use in national development, Zambia Statistics Agency (ZamStats) has implored citizens to provide accurate information to the officers and avoid harassing them.

The census of population and housing, which starts today, is expected to run until September 14, 2022.

Zambia Daily mail reports that, ZamStats interim statistician general Mulenga Musepa has also implored communities to be vigilant as some criminal elements might take advantage of the exercise to rob them.

Mr Musepa says security of the staff and equipment like motorbikes, tablets, bicycles and vehicles are cardinal to holding a successful census .
