NIGEL Mwaba, the army officer accused of killing renowned doctor Tasila Tembo, has opened his defence, with a psychiatrist informing the court that the suspect has a mental disorder.
Patrick Msoni, a consultant psychiatrist at Chainama Hills Hospital, informed Lusaka High Court Judge Wilfred Muma that he examined Muma and found that he had borderline personality disorder.
The condition is characterised by impulsivity and impaired social relationships and belongs to a group of illnesses which can cause an individual to behave angrily. This is contained in a report Zambia Daily Mail.
