Mapatizya member of Parliament Honourable Emeldah Munashabantu has urged every Zambia citizen to be on the look out for violence against women and girls.

Speaking on yesterday’s unite activism to end violence against women and girls lead by the honourable Minister of labour and social security- Brenda TambaTamba, Honorable Munashabantu states that violence against women must come to an end, youths must partner to see to it that violence dies a natural death.

In her statement she made mention that violence against women is any act of gender based violence that results in or is likely to result in physical, s*xual or mental harm or suffering to women and girls.

“Threats are in exclusion of such acts of deprivation of liberty whether occurring in public or private life. Gender based violence can lead to breakages of homes, dropping out of school leading to early marriages”, She said.

She also alluded that gender based violence leads to death and urged youths to save a live.
