(ZNBC) A worker at Chama District Hospital, has been arrested for alleged theft of various medicines.
Leonard Mune, who is a Handyman, is alleged to have stolen the assorted medicines, which he attempted to sell to a local businessman.
Muchinga Province Police Commanding Officer, Kaunda Mubanga has confirmed, saying Mune’s accomplice, Boyd Kaunda, has also been arrested.
Mr. Mubanga has explained that Mune stole the medicine on March, 6, 2023, when he was sent to the hospital storage to collect medicines for the dispensary.
He added that Mune and Kaunda were however reported to the police by the businessman, who was supposed to buy the medicine.
