POLICE in Ndola have recovered a motor vehicle which was reportedly missing during women’s day celebrations.
It has been established that the vehicle in question was not stolen but that the owner forgot where he parked after taking some alcoholic beverages.
The motor vehicle was found by police parked at Champ Elysee Loung and bar, a place which is near Buffs bar and near the place where the International Women’s day celebrations were held.
Earlier, Kombe Mulenga, a 60-year-old man cried foul after he alleged that he his car which he parked at Lowenthal theater was stolen.
Mr Mulenga claimed that he discovered that his vehicle a black Toyota Ipsum Registration number ACP 4112 with K60,000 was no where to be found.
However, Copperbelt police commanding officer Peacewell Mweemba said the car has been found intact.
He said Mr Mulenga forgot where he parked it as he was drunk.
“It was found in good state apart from the battery which was drained. The observation made is that the owner just forgot where he parked the motor vehicle due to the fact that he had taken alcohol,” he said.
He said the vehicle has since been taken to the police station and the owner has been informed.
