March 12, 2023 – Police conducted an operation at Lusaka Inter-city Bus Terminus and surrounding areas where 193 people suspected to be ‘junkies’ were arrested.
The operation was conducted between March 11, 2023 at 20:00 hours and March 12, 2023 at 04:00 hours.
The suspects who include four females are aged between 17 and 35.
They are all detained in Police custody awaiting to be formally charged with various offences.
Management at Lusaka Inter-city Bus Terminus have been complaining to Police about the attacks and harassment to the traveling public by the ‘junkies’.
