The Zambia Meteorological Department says Tropical Cyclone FREDDY has weakened into a low pressure system over Southern Malawi and is expected to extend into Eastern Zambia around Lundazi District.

According to the weather forecast, Zambia will not experience severe effect of the Cyclone FREDDY as it is weak.

MEANWHILE, the Department says moist and unstable airflow from North West Congo air is influencing the weather over the northern part of the country.

This will result in rainfall activities.

The Met department also says a relatively moist airflow from south east is affecting the weather over Western, Southern, Lusaka, Central and Eastern parts resulting in isolated rainfall.

However the country is experiencing temperatures from 25 degrees Celsius to 33 degrees.

And the country is expected to experience isolated rainfall activity on Friday.
