Dr Henry Mumbi a Zambian lecturer at De Montfort University in the United Kingdom (UK) has won the 2022 Vice-Chancellor’s Distinguished Teaching Award.

His teaching style, knowledge, devotion and passion made it possible for him to scoop the award.

According to Zambia Daily Mail, Henry Mumbi is accredited for designing and developing the reward management module for the education department.

He has also been the main lead for developing new block teaching for undergraduate human resource management programme under Education 2030.

Dr Mumbi, affectionately known as DJ Shimpundu Bulasho, is currently teaching both undergraduate and postgraduates in the human resource management cluster at the university in Leicester.

A former Zambia Air Force officer, Dr Mumbi left Zambia for Europe in 1990.

The award is based on student nominations, which are later considered by the faculty and a university panel.
