The office of the Auditor General has revealed that K209 million, 542 thousand, 721 and 31 kwacha was wrongly paid as allowances to 9,444 public officials in the Ministry of Education between 2017 to 2021.
And Minister of Finance Dr. Situmbeko Musokotwane has called for the recovery of the money from the civil servants who remained silent when the transactions were made during the period under review.
