President Hakainde Hichilema is today worshiping at Kalewa Central SDA church as part of the visit where he is also expected to grace the fundraising dinner at Protea Hotel this evening.
Hundreds of residents lined up to catch a glimpse of their beloved President on his way to the Church situated right in Pamodzi Township in Ndola in Chifubu Constituency.
Before entry into the Church President Hichilema who is also a church elder and a master guide inspected a guard of honour mounted by Adventist Youths of the Copperbelt Zambia Conference of the Adventist.
And a youth named Chishala Mulenga told ‘the Falcon NEWS’ that he and other youths were so excited and touched with the simplicity of the President.
The Church Service opened with a chorus from the choir preaching love, peace and unity and calling on the President to look upon God who authorised his leadership.
Later President Hichilema after introduction took to the podium to greet the congregation and sang one of his favourite hymns number 189 titled “Tu nyina munzi mubotu” (No abiding City Here)
The President is accompanied by two Deputy National Chairpersons Collins Maoma and Mr Andrew Banda, Secretary General Batuke Imenda, National Youth Chairperson Gilbert Liswaniso and his deputies Cindy Kauka and Trevor Mwiinde other NMC officials Gladys Lundwe, Elizabeth Lungu and the hosts led by Provincial Minister Elisha Matambo.
The sermon was delivered by Pastor Mayboy Muchabwe.
