A state police officer and a council police officer have been arrested in connection with the theft of twenty four thousand kwacha Constituency Development Fund – CDF- at Kalumbila Town Council in Kalumbila District.
Zambia Police Service Spokesperson RAE HAMOONGA confirmed the arrest of the two suspects who are currently in police custody.
Mr. HAMOONGA says the Police have since opened an inquiry file on the matter.
And Kalumbila Council Chairperson SHADRICK MUNJUNGA says thieves are alleged to have broken into the building in the late hours of Wednesday and broke into the safe that was containing the money.
