Police in Lusaka are holding a 28-year-old man for allegedly sodomising two male children aged two and four.
Police deputy public relations officer Danny Mwale stated that the suspect from unknown house number in Kalikiliki compound has been detained for Unnatural Offence (Sodomy).
“Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspect, who lives within the same neighborhood with the Children in Kalikiliki Compound, had carnal knowledge of the Children against the order of nature on several occasions between May 2022 and June 19, 2022. The suspect is alleged to have been enticing the Children with sweets and jiggies before sexually abusing them in his room,” Mr Mwale stated.
He stated that on June 19, 2022, the two children complained of painful private parts to their parents who later reported the matter to the Police.
“Police apprehended the suspect after being identified by the victims. He is currently detained in Police custody. The children whose condition is reported not to be stable, are receiving treatment at the hospital,” Mr Mwale stated.
