LUBINDA MOURNS SIMUWELU

Patriotic Front Acting President, Hon Given Lubinda has mourned the demise of the immediate past PF Provincial Chairperson for Muchinga Province, Mr. Alex SIMUWELU who died yesterday in Lusaka.

Honourable Lubinda has described the late SIMUWELU as “a man who served the Party with unrivalled loyalty and dedication.” He said, “Mr. Simuwelu was a humble man who understood that leadership is not about positions but about service. Comrade Simuwelu was always willing and ready to serve in any position irrespective of him being a long standing member of the Patriotic Front because what mattered to him was his contribution to the growth of the Party and not the seniority of the position he held”

Mr. Simuwele served as the Party’s Provincial Treasurer for Muchinga Province before being elevated to the position of Provincial Chairperson among others.

His remains will be transported to Mpika, today were he will be buried.

Honourable Lubinda has since paid his last respects for the late Alex Simuwelu and has called upon all members of the Party to offer support to the bereaved family at this time of tragic loss.

May the soul of our dear departed rest in eternal peace.
