In as much as the Hope and Help has come to Choma police from a magnanimous and good man, a resident of that district, good governance demands may be comprised through such gifts advanced in an operational area of the giver.

It is a very tricky gift and may put the entire police in the area under serious compromise and vulnerability.

Ideally, my view was that this donation was supposed to be at the Command e.g. Received by the IG and or Minister or still PS in the Ministry of Home affairs or PS or Minister in charge of the province then apportion the donations to the relevant police stations.

This might have less compromise on the stations and would act if the give offends the state or the law.

Remember how Flash (Capital) buses under MMD compromised the police by the act of the Flash owner painting most police stations in Lusaka.

No flash bus was impounded regardless of the offence, may be road tax or any other offence.

Hope we are not repeating the same through this Choma donation.
