Muyangwa Muyangwa director-general at National Pension Scheme Authority (NAPSA) says they are presently working on a mechanism which will allow for early partial withdrawal of retirement benefits by workers.
According to Zambia Daily Mail, Mr Muyangwa said there are a lot of consultations going on currently over the matter and asked contributors to exercise some patience.
“There is a lot of work that is going on right now to try and make sure that it is done in the best way possible to ensure everyone gets what they want,” he said.
Government in the 2022 budget proposed reforms to allow for the partial withdrawal of the funds before retirement.
