A 13-year-old grade 8 pupil by the name of Munsaka Nkulukusa has died at Ibenga Girls boarding Secondary school after she complained of being tired while playing with friends.

According to a report published by mwebantu, the girl at the named school is believed to have been playing with her cousin and friends, when she told them that she needed to rest.

It is alleged that at this point, she went to sleep, but when her friends tried to wake her up, she was unresponsive.

According to Copperbelt Province Commanding officer Sharon Zulu, police received a report of sudden and unnatural death which occurred on yesterday around 20:00 hours at Ibenga girls.

“Munsaka’s death was reported by the school headteacher that she was found unconcious in the domitory and was later pronounced dead at the school’s mission hospital”, Ms Zulu said.

Police visited her at the hospital and inspected the body ,no physical injuries were observed.

The cause of Death is not yet known. Brief facts of the matter are that around 20.00 hours, the deceased was playing with her cousin and other friends in the Domitory and after getting tired, she told her friends that she wanted to rest and that’s how her friends allowed her to rest. Later when they tried to wake her up, she wasn’t responding and that was when they went to call the Headteacher who came to the domitory and upon seeing her, she was rushed to the hospital where checkups was done by medical personnel who later certified her dead,” she said.

She added that the body was later deposited to Ibenga Hospital Mortuary awaiting postmortem to ascertain the cause of death and an inquiry file opened.
