FRA RESUMES BUYING OF MAIZE, SOYA, RICE

IN RESPONSE to the cry by farmers with excess produce for sale, Government has reopened Food Reserve Agency (FRA) satellite depots to buy more maize, soya beans and rice.

This is despite Government meeting its target of buying in excess of 250,000 metric tonnes (mt) of produce from the initial over 170,000mt through FRA. This is contained in a report published by Zambia Daily Mail.
