A 34-YEAR-OLD man of Kapiri Mposhi who this year enticed a 12-year-old girl with K20 to have s*x with her has been jailed for 18 years for defilement by Kabwe High Court.
During hearing, Francis Mwape admitted defiling the girl last year and offering her a K20 in order to lure her.
Kabwe High Court judge in-charge Kelvin Limbani sentenced Mwape after he admitted the charge of defilement in Kapiri Mposhi’s Magistrates Court.
Before hearing his fate, Mwape’s lawyer, Sandra Musanya, pleaded with the court to exercise leniency on his client because he had not wasted the court’s time as he had readily pleaded guilty. (daily-mail.co.zm) This is contained in a report published by Zambia Daily Mail.
