(ZNBC) The Drug Enforcement Commission -DEC- has seized over 200 kilogrammes of compressed cannabis, which was about to be airlifted to the United Kingdom -UK.

The contraband was intercepted in an operation carried out at Lusaka’s Kenneth Kaunda International Airport.

DEC Public Relations Officer, ALLAN TAMBA has confirmed at a media briefing in Lusaka today that the cannabis was concealed in two wooden boxes.

And Mr. TAMBA said the commission has also seized over 90 kilogrammes of high grade cannabis, which was concealed on a truck.

He explained that the truck, which was coming from Kazungula, was intercepted in Lusaka.
